Reporting child victims of abuse in the city of Yaoundé

Introduction: The need to report any suspicion of child abuse is imperative for the medical practitioner. general objective our study describe types reporting victims suffered by children in some referral hospitals Yaoundé. Method: A retrospective cross-sectional was conducted from January 1, 2015 December 31, 2019, i.e., 5 years, 4 All records under 18 years age were included. Descriptive statistical analysis performed using Epi-info TM version 7.2 software. Ethical clearance obtained conduct study. Results: Of 132 study, alleged perpetrator known 53.0% cases (70/132). Reporting done 48.5% (64/132) and more frequent if (40/70; 57.1%). administrative procedure predominated over judicial one, 57.8% (37/64) 42.2% (27/64) respectively. arrest presumed only 23.4% (15/64) cases, followed a conviction 46.7% i.e. rate 5.3% (7/132). return victim's family occurred nearly 8 times/10 (105/132; 79.5%). Conclusion: less than half maltreatment resulting about out 100. Training awareness practitioner remains cornerstone fight against this scourge
